How to Convert kW to kVA (Formula & Explanation)
To convert kW to kVA (kilowatts to kilovolt-amperes), divide real power by power factor: kVA = kW ÷ PF. This applies to single-phase and balanced three-phase when you use total kW and an equivalent PF.

kWh is energy (kilowatts × hours); kVA is instantaneous apparent power—you cannot swap them without a time interval. 1 kWh means 1 kW of real energy consumed over one hour. Is 1 kW equal to 1 HP?
